The stars of Amy have all been hard at work in the years following the film's release. Ben Mendelsohn, in particular, has seen quite a bit of recent success in Hollywood.

Following his role in Amy as Robert Buchanan – the misunderstood neighbor who first discovers music as a way to communicate with the otherwise unreachable Amy - Mendelsohn continued his work on the small screen through various television shows and made for TV movies.

In the past few years, however, Mendelsohn's success on the big screen has really taken off. You may remember seeing him along side Academy Award Winner Nicolas Cage not once but twice, first in the sci-fi mystery Knowing (2009) and then in the thriller Tresspass (2011).

Additionally, Mendelsohn also has a couple films currently in the post production phase. In The Place Beyond the Pines Mendelsohn is one of many in an all-star cast including Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes and Ray Liotta. Not to be outdone by a cast full of Hollywood heavy hitters, in his other film set for release this year, Killing Them Softly, Mendelsohn stars along side Brad Pitt.

If his most recent films are any indication, Ben Mendelsohn will certainly be one to watch in the coming years. It seems that Hollywood is finally starting to realize what fans of Amy have known for some time.
